AWARDS

Seven awards are handed out at Kristiansand International Children's Film Festival.

BFF'S CHILDRENS FILM AWARD

The BFF Childrens Film Award grants NOK 50 000, - to the Norwegian distributor who will secure the winning film Norwegian distribution.

 

BFF'S NORWEGIAN SHORT FILM AWARD

BFF Short Film Award will be given to the best Norwegian short film in the competition programme, which will be nominated for the most prestigious national film award Amanda. 

 

THE BARN-I-BYEN AWARD

KICFF also includes a Children’s Jury, which consists of seven jury members, aged 11- 12. They will present the Barn-i-byen Award to the best childrens film. The award is given in collaboration with a local magazine for families.

 

ECFA AWARD (European Children's Film Association)

The ECFA award is presented to the best European feature-length film. This award is handed out at selected European festivals, and the winners are competing for a yearly award for best European children's film which is handed out at Berlinale.   

 

BEST PITCH

The Best Pitch Award grants 100 000 NOK to the winning pitch. An award given in collaboration with Zefyr Media Fund (Mediefondet Zefyr), the largest regional fund for audio-visual production in Norway and second in size to Film in Vast (Vastra Gotaland - Sweden) in the Nordic area.

 

UNG AWARD

The Youth Jury will present the UNG Award to the best film in the youth section called Filmfest UNG.

 

AUDIENCE AWARD

The Audience Award is selected by our audiences and is given to the most popular film.
