Barnefilmfestivalen utsettes til høsten

Barnefilmfestivalen er et stort publikumsarrangement for barnefamilier, skoler og både norsk og internasjonal filmbransje, med nærmere 15.000 registrerte billetter i løpet av festivaluken. Beslutningen om å flytte festivalen til høsten er basert på de råd og anbefalinger som er gitt av både lokale og sentrale helsemyndigheter i forbindelse med koronapandemien.   

- Det er ikke med lett hjerte vi gjør dette, men vi tror det er en riktig beslutning i nåværende situasjon. Nå skal vi samle alle gode krefter for å skape en fantastisk filmfestival til høsten, til glede for både publikum og filmbransje, sier daglig leder i Barnefilmfestivalen Stina Ask Mikkelsen. Hun ønsker også å berømme festivalens samarbeidspartnere, som har uttrykt stor forståelse for beslutningen om å flytte festivalen til senere på året.

THE KRISTIANSAND INT. CHILDREN’S FILM FESTIVAL IS RESCHEDULED - NEW AUTUMN DATES TO FOLLOW 

Kristiansand International Children's Film Festival was scheduled to be held April 21 - 26. Now the festival management, in consultation with the board, has decided to postpone all events and reschedule to the Autumn.  

The Children's Film Festival hosts a large audience with participants from schools, private homes, and professionals, with almost 15,000 registered tickets during the festival week. The decision to postpone the festival is based on the advice and recommendations and restrictions given by both local and central health authorities in regards to the current Corona situation.

- It is not with light heart that we do this, but we believe it is the right decision given the current situation. Now we will save all of our efforts and create a fantastic film festival this fall, to the enjoyment of our audiences and professional guests, says Head of the Children's Film Festival, Stina Ask Mikkelsen. She also wishes to commend the festival's partners, who have shown their sincere understanding and support of this decision.
