Daniel 16

Sometimes, the last place you want to be, is where you're needed the most.

Daniel, a young German boy, is sent to a small border town in Greece where he has to serve a sentence on a farm for juvenile delinquents. Daniel struggles to adapt to his new surroundings and all he can think about is how to get back to Germany and find his dog. One day he is hit with the harsh and stark realities of the refugee crisis when he witnesses the murder of one of the refugees. Suddenly he finds himself responsible for a little boy who is left alone in a foreign country, concealed from the government and without his parents.

A moving depiction of a young boy's meeting with the refugee crisis in Greece.
