Madison is a 12-year-old girl, but she talks like the boys, dresses like the boys, and plays basket with the boys – who happen to be her best mates. Now that she is getting older her coach thinks it’s time she transfers to the girls’ team instead. To begin with Madison finds it difficult getting used to playing with the girls, but slowly things change. She opens up to the possibilities of friendships that may come her way, and she understands that she can be comfortable in several places without changing who she is. Subsequently, she understands that basketball is such an integral part of her identity and her future dreams that she will apply to join a new class at an elite sports academy.
But is she good enough to be accepted into the school, and is she ready to say goodbye to her classmates who have accepted her exactly as she is, no matter what?
