My Very Own Circus

A warm and colourful film about finding your own way.

12-year-old Laura lives with her father who is a touring clown and his mute sidekick, Mandeep from Bengal. They live a free-spirited life many only dream of. But Laura dreams of sliced tomatoes on her toast, living somewhere permanently and attending private school. Her new teacher sees potential in her and can help her achieve her dream. But her father insists they are free, and that life is a circus until it simply isn’t anymore. The clown gets arrested, Mandeep is neither mute nor from Bengal, and over time her father has forgotten that Laura is also a child and not only his assistant. Will the clown realise that his daughter has her own life and her own dreams?
