In the spring of 1995, the Needle Park of Zürich is closed, and the drug addicts who live there must leave. 11-year-old Mia and her mother Sandrine move from the park to Sandrine’s home village. They both struggle to adapt to a new life and to redefine who they are outside of life in the park. While Mia is trying to take care of her mother, she finds new friends among the older and cooler kids. Will they influence her to follow in her mother’s footsteps or be a way for her to break free?
Needle Park Baby is based on the true stories of the children that grew up in this brutal environment.
