Marsigliese has been a key part of Pixar since 2012 and has worked on some of the most beloved animated films of recent years, including Inside Out, Inside Out 2, Luca, Soul and Toy Story 4. Her work has helped shape the visual identity and emotional depth of films that have reached millions of children and families worldwide.
At the conference in Kristiansand, Marsigliese will share insights into how strong characters are created, how visual storytelling can engage young audiences, and how creative processes work inside one of the world’s leading animation studios.
– Having a Pixar professional of this caliber come to Kristiansand is a major event, both for the festival and for the entire region. This is a unique opportunity for the Norwegian film and animation industry to gain direct insight from the highest international level, says festival director Cathrine Sordal.
Marsigliese is a two-time Annie Award nominee, a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, and is known as an engaging speaker and educator. Her creative process was also featured in the acclaimed Disney+ documentary series Inside Pixar.
The conference is part of the festival’s industry days, taking place in Kristiansand from April 22–24, and brings together professionals from film, TV, animation, education and the cultural sector, with a focus on children’s and youth film.
