Santino is growing up in a circus family. Travelling from place to place with his relatives and animals, Santino learns about his family’s rich circus history through stories from his great-grandfather. The film offers a glimpse into the life of Germany’s last nomads, exploring themes of belonging and community, and portraying a life without a safety net, free as a bird.
