Memoir of a Snail

After their father's death, Grace and Gilbert are sent to different foster homes in Australia. Grace ends up with a couple who are often absent. There, she develops a passion for collecting snails, which connects her to memories of the mother she never met. Through her friendship with the eccentric Pinky, an older woman with a bright outlook on life, Grace finds hope and inspiration to overcome her inner demons and search for her brother.
