European professional jury. The ECFA AWARD is given to the BEST EUROPEAN CHILDREN'S FILM. The winning film is nominated to take part in the selection of the year's best children's film in Europe, which is awarded in connection with the Berlin Film Festival.

Catarina Ramalho
Graduated in artistic studies in the Faculty of Letters of the University of Lisbon. Director, producer and programmer at PLAY- Lisbon International Children Film festival since it's foundation, 13 years ago. Has been working in production and coordination of several projects in TV, Cinema and performing arts. Parallel to the festival activity, has started, in 2019, a new educational project of cinema classes to needy children from 8 to 10 years old from deprived urban neighbourhoods, in order to include cinema as a part of school curriculum across premier schools in Portugal.
Director of the SCHLiNGEL International Film Festival
Michael Harbauer
In 1996, he founded the SCHLiNGEL International Children and Youth Film Festival. Launched as a simple film week, the initiative has now become one of the most comprehensive international platforms for international children’s and youth films in Europe, which also deals with film distribution. In addition to running the festival, he also runs the non-profit organization Saechsischer Kinder- und Jugendfilmdienst eV, which teaches children and adolescents about film theory and filmmaking. Michael Harbauer also holds a film supervision position in regulatory organizations in Germany. Since the end of November 2020 he is a member of the Board of Directors of CIFEJ (International Centre of Films for Children and Young People).

Julia Granath
Julia Granath, is passionate about giving young audiences the opportunity to experience great films from around the world, especially in cinemas. Before joining BUFF in 2007, she served as Head of Education at the regional film fund Film i Skåne and as a project manager at Film Stockholm.
