Kristiansand International Children’s Film Festival (BFF) is Norway’s largest film festival aimed at children and youth (aged 3-19). The festival takes place in the towns of Kristiansand, Arendal and Farsund, located in the beautiful Southern part of Norway. The 28th edition of BFF will take place from the 5th of May to the 10th of May 2025.

We accept entries of short films, feature films and documentaries – both live action and animation, from all over the world.

Note that we only accept films with first official screening date after January 1st, 2024.

  • Main entry deadline: January 1st 2025.
  • Deadline for Norwegian short films (up to 30 min.): 1st of February 2025. Films completed in 2024/2025.

Some of the films will be selected for competition, but most of the films will be screened outside competition.
For films in competition, we are mainly looking for films that will have their Norwegian, European or World Premiere at BFF.
