Welcome to the Industry Days at BFF! This year´s industry days will be held from the 7th to the 9th of May. We are pleased to invite you to come visit our festival in the beautiful coastal town Kristiansand, and spend a few days with us packed with films, industry events, and social gatherings.

BFF Masterclass - Izer Aliu

Ph.d. project - is all cutting a lie?

Izer Aliu is a filmdirector researching if all editing is a lie, where he will attempt to explore editing in different phases of filmmaking, from pen to production to post, and if there’s a way to “cut” without “cutting”.

Izer received the Amanda for Best Directing for his debut “Hunting Flies”, which was also nominated to the Nordic Council and attended Toronto International Film Festival. After that he directed “12 Dares” and co-created the tv-series “Countrymen” together with Anne Björnstad. He graduated from the Norwegian Filmschool in 2012 where his examfilm won the Amanda for the Best Short and his next short “The Good Life, Over There” was also nominated for the Amanda.

THURSDAY THE 8TH OF MAY

Pitch Competition - best idea for a tv-series or a feature film

The pitch is in Norwegian

Location: Alddin Rød
Time: 13.00

The competition is organized in collaboration with Mediefondet Zefyr. Filmmakers with a desire to realize a cinema film (fiction/documentary) or a television series project connected to the South and/or West of Norway have the opportunity to win NOK 100,000. The winner will be announced during the official award ceremony on Friday the 9th of May.

Films On the Horizon (FOH)

Hall Red at Aladdin Cinema at 16-18.

FOH is the festival's annual work-in-progress presentation of upcoming Nordic films for children and young people. The event takes place in Hall Blue at Aladdin Cinema. The event takes place in English.

Come join us for an amazing trip to Kristiansand Zoo.

After Films On the Horizon we will travel together tol Kristiansand Zoo. There we will get real close to the animals and have a pleasant industry dinner.
